To accompany the worship and choir ministry of Zebulon Baptist Church by playing the piano and/or organ, with the help of the Assistant Accompanist, for:
- The rehearsals of the Sanctuary Choir
- The worship services of Zebulon Baptist Church – Sunday mornings each week, Sunday evenings (when necessary, approx. 8 to 10), holidays, and other special worship times, including the accompaniment of choirs, soloists, ensembles and instrumentalists, and playing preludes, offertories, postludes and for communion.
- Additional choirs are negotiable – ex. Youth Choir and Junior Choir
To develop a schedule for the Accompanist and Assistant Accompanist in carrying out the necessary responsibilities that has the full approval of the Minister of Music.
To maintain a reasonable availability to the congregation to play for funerals and weddings as requested.
Sick Leave/Personal Leave:
For personal illness, the critical illness of an immediate family member, or for the death of a family member – two weeks per year. One Sunday and one Wednesday constitute a week of leave. Unused leave may accrue up to a maximum of 36 weeks. At the end of employment, there is no payment for unused sick and personal leave.
Eight weeks annually, with up to four weeks being granted to be taken at one time. One Sunday and one Wednesday constitute a week of leave. If the Minister of Music chooses not to rehearse on Wednesday when the Accompanist has announced plans to take a week of leave, the Wednesday off will count as a vacation day. Unused vacation leave may accrue up to a maximum of four additional weeks. At the end of employment, the Accompanist will be paid for any unused vacation.
