Christian Mysticism is “experiencing” the presence of God.  The practice can include contemplation, vision meditation, and/or devotion.  It is based on personal experience and not on church doctrine.  Historically, the trouble has been that what one person may see as a true experience with God, another may see as heresy.  And yet, the words of the mystics persevere to this day and still resonate with many searching for a deeper experience of God. On Tuesday, September 5, the Women’s Bible Study group will begin meeting in classroom D8 at 10:00 a.m.  The group will also be  beginning a new study series that will run for six weeks.  This series will be based on the “I am” statements of Jesus.  The first chapter entitled, “The Bread of Life,” will be discussed on September 5.  If you need information about ordering a book for this study series, please contact Jackie Strickland at strickland.jackie@gmail.com.
