Beliefs

Zebulon Baptist Church, as a Baptist congregation, supports the ideas of local church autonomy and the priesthood of every believer. We do not insist on adhering to any creed or statement of doctrine; we believe each individual is free to follow their conscience as led by God’s Spirit in matters of faith. However, to help us express what we believe to others our Statement of Core Values is an important document. Please read this document by clicking on the links provided. In our Statement of Core Values, you will find these two important and specific statements regarding what we believe:

  • We value the traditional Christian beliefs set forth in the affirmations of the Apostles’ Creed.
  • We value the traditional Baptist beliefs set forth in the affirmations of faith in the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message and in the 1995 Mission Statement of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
