These sessions have helped many through their struggle with grief over the years and we hope that members and others in the community will take advantage of this summer’s group. There will be a meeting in the Parlor on Sunday, February 9 at 4:00 p.m. to determine the interest and possibility of a mission trip for adults.  The potential mission trip would take place in North Charleston, SC during September 19-26, 2020.  Metanoia is an organization in North Charleston that was started by two CBF-appointed urban missionaries.  Their mission is to build leaders, establish quality housing and generate economic development in an area of North Charleston that otherwise is declining in…

Each summer we invite persons who have experienced the loss of a loved one within the past two years to join us for a small group where we share our experiences with grief and try to deepen our understanding of grief.  The group is facilitated by Jack Glasgow and has proven helpful to many grieving persons through the years.  We encourage those going through a time of grief to join us, and the group is always open to anyone in…

ZBC Book Club will meet on Thursday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parlor in Building A.  The book selection is Roses by Leila Meacham.  Mrs. Ruth Moss will be leading our discussion and providing a light snack.  Please bring your own beverage.  New members are welcome.

The ZBC Book Club will be meeting on Thursday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parlor.  The book is The Heirloom Garden by Viola Shipman.   Discussion will be led by Janet Fox and refreshments will be provided by Janet Fox.

On Sunday afternoon, October 10, our Pastor and church leaders will host an informational meeting for persons who may be interested in making a personal loan to the church to pay off the remaining indebtedness with our financial institution and to fund needed capital projects in the early phase of “A New Day” Campaign in 2022.  This meeting will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Parlor.  We have used this approach to financing successfully in the past with investors…

Persons who are awaiting baptism and plan to participate in the November 21 service are asked to meet with Jack Glasgow in the Parlor on Sunday afternoon, November 14.  We will talk about the meaning of baptism and share the details of the service.  Please make every effort to be present.  If you have to miss this session, please contact Jack Glasgow before November 14.  

Our Pastor will lead an open discussion of Romans 8 at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday evening, January 9 in the Parlor.  Much like our “Safe, Sacred Space Discussions,” we will be able to ask any questions and share any ideas with one another about the affirmations of Romans 8.
