Rev. Ward Page joined the Zebulon Baptist Church family as senior pastor in June 2023. Congregational life has always been central to his identity, and he has ministered to various congregations since 2008 in a variety of capacities, including student, children, education, family and outreach ministries. Ward attended Appalachian State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in music. He is also a graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Divinity, where he earned his master’s of divinity.
A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Ward has been married to his wife, Jennifer, since 2011, and together they have two children, Lily Kate and Boone. The Page family also has two “fur babies”: a cat, Hobie, and a dog, Nox. Outside of church, Ward enjoys family time, WFU and ASU sports, vacations to the mountains and the beach, music and gaming.

Rev. Melissa Willis joined the Zebulon Baptist Church family as associate pastor in August 2024. Melissa has served four churches in varied roles in her 28-year ministry, including children, youth, senior adults, missions and pastoral care. Melissa attended Shorter College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in religion and philosophy with a minor in psychology. She also attended McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University, where she earned her master’s of divinity.
A native of Roswell, Georgia, Melissa has been married to her husband, Carl, since 2003, and together they have two daughters, Mattie Paige and Juliana. Their extended “fur family” include: 3 cats, Cole, Bella, and Winston, and 2 dogs, Fudge and Olive. Although Melissa is a UGA Bulldog by birth, her chosen (by marriage) team to cheer on is the N.C. State University Wolfpack. Her family enjoys playing board games, music and vacationing at the beach.

Barbara has served Zebulon Baptist Church as minister of music and senior adults since 1989. She is a native of Cary, North Carolina and a graduate of Campbell University with a degree in church music. She played softball at Campbell. She has previously worked with hearing-impaired children. She is married to ZBC’s former senior pastor, Jack Glasgow. She enjoys sports, theater, movies, reading and crafts, and being Grandma to Logan, IV and Briggs.

Shannon is a native of Zebulon and grew up calling Zebulon Baptist Church home. Her post-secondary education took her to Barton College to study child development and then to Campbell University Divinity School for Christian studies. Her career has focused on children and their development, and she has a great passion for ministering to the children and families of ZBC. Missions is a ministry near and dear to Shannon’s heart, and being able to serve and spread the love of Christ to the local community and our neighbors far and wide gives her great joy. Shannon loves N.C. State University, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, and she is always ready for the next big adventure!

Lauren has been on staff at Zebulon Baptist Church working part-time with youth and their families since 2015. She attended ZBC as a youth and is a native of nearby Wendell, where she currently resides with her husband, Jackson, and sons, IV and Briggs. She is a graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in history education and teaches social studies at Corinth Holders High School. Lauren enjoys traveling, family, crafts, restaurants, music, reading and supporting the ECU Pirates. She leads our youth in their spiritual formation and mission engagement through their teen and college years.

June has been the office and financial administrator at Zebulon Baptist Church since 2013. She oversees the work of the office and handles the financial matters of the church. She previously enjoyed a 35-year career in newspaper advertising and management. June has been a member of ZBC since childhood and has served as an administrative deacon and a congregational care deacon, as well as having served on many other committees and teams. She has been an effective Sunday School teacher for many years and continues to serve as a teacher. June is a Zebulon native and enjoys being involved in the community. She has two adult daughters and three grandchildren. June enjoys reading, cooking, crafts, movies/music, and spending time with family.

Allison joined the staff of Zebulon Baptist Church in 2025. She is a native of Wendell and has been a member of Zebulon Baptist Church for many years. She graduated from Peace College with a bachelor’s degree in communications and worked most of her career in newspapers and journalism. Allison enjoys reading, hiking, spending time at the beach with her family, and traveling with friends and family. Her husband, Joel, and kiddos, Harper and Miles, are her whole world, and you’ll most likely find her with them!

Sherry joined the staff of Zebulon Baptist Church as the Office Assistant in 2025. She resides in Selma with her husband of 29 years, Davie, and has two adult daughters, Nikki and Cassie Marie. With three years of administrative experience at her home church, Sherry loves serving as support for church staff and looks forward to interacting with the ZBC congregation and community. Sherry has an extended family of more than 125, so she enjoys spending time with them, Scrabble competitions with friends, and sharing her love for life with others.

Nathaniel Horton is a native of Knightdale and has been a member of Zebulon Baptist Church his entire life. He graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2023 and is currently pursuing a master of divinity degree from Campbell University Divinity School. Nathaniel has previous ministry experience as a Bible study leader for Passport Youth, as a worship coordinator for Passport Kids, and as an interim youth minister. In his free time, Nathaniel enjoys watching sports, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.
PATTI & TED ROOD • Choir Accompanist (Patti) & Assistant Accompanist (Ted)

Ted and Patti Rood are originally from Pensacola, Florida and Decatur, Illinois, respectively. They met at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina and married in 1970. When they first got into ministry work, it was with Pensacola Christian School as piano teachers, where Ted also taught voice and Bible. A few years later, they both started working with a church in Pensacola as the music and youth directors.
Eventually, they moved to Ottawa, Kansas, where they stayed for 9 years while raising their young family of 3 boys. In Ottawa, Ted was the minister of music at Calvary Baptist Church, where he provided most of the pastoral counseling and started a small Christian school. When Ted was in his early 40s, he had a deep desire to shepherd a church, and the Lord provided an opportunity in Covington, Pennsylvania, where he pastored Covington Baptist Church for the next 26 years. Patti was the church and choir accompanist and secretary for most of those years.
They retired in 2014 and moved to Zebulon to be close to one set of their grandkids, and they have assisted musically in various local churches over the last several years.
VIVIAN ADAMS • Church Organist

Vivian Adams grew up in Edenton, North Carolina. She earned an associate’s and bachelor’s degree in music from Peace College and a master’s in music performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Vivian has had the privilege to work in various academic institutions serving as music/art camp coordinator, coordinating private lesson programs, teaching general music, and serving as an adjunct music faculty instructor and accompanist. Vivian has also served as a substitute for various churches in the area, and most recently worked at St. Mark’s UMC as organist and accompanist.
She maintains a small private home studio in Raleigh, and runs a studio in Cary where she teaches piano. She enjoys spending free time with her dog, Cosmo, reading, running and gardening. Vivian began serving Zebulon Baptist Church as the church organist in June of 2023.
