Senior Adult Lunch at SOMETHING DIFFERENT
Our Senior Adults will travel for lunch to the restaurant Something Different in Wilson on Tuesday, January 21. We will leave the church at 11 AM. Please let Barbara Glasgow know by Sunday, January 19, if you will be traveling with the group to enjoy a delicious meal at Something Different.

ZBCY Winter Retreat 2025
The ZBCY will go to the Old Greer House in Banner Elk, NC for the Winter Retreat from January 31 - February 2.
The cost of the weekend is $200 which includes lodging, tubing experience, and retreat shirt. Sign up and $100 deposit due by this Wednesday, December 11.
ZBCY 2025 Mission Trip
The youth in 10th-12th grade will have a chance to participate in the youth mission trip next summer. We will be going to Cultivate Abundance in Immokalee, Florida, July 20-28, 2025, and partnering with CBF Field Personnel, Ellen and Rick Burnette.
Cultivate Abundance is an organization addressing food insecurity and other livelihood challenges of low-income farmers in the communities of Southwest Florida.
Their mission is to mobilize appropriate resources to eliminate hunger and enable small-scale food production in vulnerable households and communities. Our youth will be preparing for this mission trip throughout the year with team meetings and then plugging into Cultivate Abundances’ mission projects once we arrive next summer.

On Sunday, December 22, after the last Live Nativity show at 7:00, the youth will have their annual Christmas party. Make plans to attend!

This Advent season, the youth will perform three shows of the Live Nativity on Sunday, December 22. We will need many participants to help these shows be a success! We will practice that afternoon before the shows.
The shows will take place at 6:00, 6:30, and 7:00. Please see Lauren with any questions.
Rudy Theatre
On Monday, December 16, our Senior Adults are invited to join our outing to Rudy Theatre in Selma, NC. We will enjoy their wonderful Christmas music and the comedian Cletus Chickpin. We will leave the church at 12:00 Pm and the show starts at 12:45. The tickets cost $30.00 per person. There is a limited number of ticket, so please sign up and buy your tickets early!!
Joy Gift Service
Come hear all of our graded choirs sing their Christmas songs and present our gifts for our Christmas Benevolence families. Parents will also get to enjoy a Parent’s Sermon in the place of our Children’s Sermon on this night. It is a night sure to lift your Christmas spirit.
Christmas Musical
The title of this year’s Christmas Musical is This Is Christmas by Mary McDonald, orchestrated by Ed Hogan. You and your loved ones are invited to come and hear our wonderful Sanctuary Choir and special guest musicians as they prepare our hearts for the coming of the Christ-child.
Advent Wreath Workshop
December 1 is the first day of Advent. We hope your family will return to the ZBC Fellowship Hall at 3:00pm to enjoy a time of fellowship while crafting your very own Advent Wreath. You can also receive our Advent Devotional, containing meditations lovingly written by our ministers and members, to use with your wreath throughout the season. Just bring your loved ones, a pair of pruning shears, and perhaps some holiday spirit!

Thanksgiving Service
As we prepare to gather with loved ones for our Thanksgiving Holiday, it is appropriate that we gather together as a church to give thanks for God’s abundant blessings. We hope your family will join us for a special worship service Tuesday, November 26 at 7:00pm in our sanctuary.
Our Thanksgiving Service is experiential. During this service you will be invited to travel among a variety of stations around our sanctuary, and participate in small, creative expressions of worship. Our goal is to draw nearer to God through every small, sacred act.
ZBC Homecoming
It has been a while since our last Homecoming! We hope you and your loved ones will join us for a very special worship service as we give thanks for God’s blessings on ZBC’s past, present and future.
Worship will begin at 10:15am in our sanctuary. At the conclusion of our service, we will honor our former pastor, Rev. Jack Glasgow, with the title of Pastor Emeritus.
Following worship, there will be a covered dish luncheon in our Fellowship Hall. ZBC will offer the fried chicken and beverages. You’re invited to bring your favorite dishes and/or desserts to share! You can drop off your dishes as early as 8:30am Sunday morning. Also, be sure to bring your own serving utensils as the church only has a limited amount. Finally, please label your dishes with your name and the contents, especially if they contain food allergins, such as nuts.
Veterans Day Luncheon
The youth of ZBC will be hosting a luncheon for the veterans and their families on Monday, November 11 at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall. Sign up below if you would like to help celebrate and honor our veterans. We will need all youth helpers to arrive by 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall to begin prepping. You may also use the additional RSVP link to sign up veterans and their guests by November 6.
Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat

Please join us on Sunday, October 27th from 4:00pm - 6:30pm for the ZBC Fall Festival!
There will be games, bounce houses, face painting, pumpkin painting and hot dog dinner on our front lawn followed by our annual Trunk-Or-Treat! This event was a huge success last year and is a wonderful outreach event for the community!
An event of this size takes a lot of helping hands... there are many ways to volunteer! We will need help setting up and breaking down, friendly faces at our church outreach table, candy donations and more. Please sign up for different volunteer opportunities by clicking below.

Candy Drive
All families in our community are welcome to our Trunk or Treat event and with higher attendance comes a need for more candy! If you are not planning on participating by hosting a vehicle that gives out candy, please consider donating a bag (or five!) of individually wrapped candy to keep all our "trunks" stocked. Please drop off bags of candy at the church office by lunchtime on Sunday, October 27th.
Youth to Morgan St. Food Hall
After worship, our students in grades 8-12 will travel together to downtown Raleigh for lunch at the Morgan Street Food Hall. Bring cash for food. We’ll return around 1:15pm.
Senior Adult Ice Cream Outings
Senior Adults will enjoy a trip to the Howling Cow for delicious ice cream!! Leaving at 12:30 and returning after our stomach is happy and full!
The Howling Cow is in Raleigh at 100 Dairy Lane.
